NYC and Track Meet

With a field trip to the 9/11 Museum and a harbor ferry tour in New York City as well as a track meet in Atlantic County, we had a very busy week last week! Here are some highlights. Thanks for sharing your photos with me; there are also some on here that my sister took.

Freedom Tower

We arrive at the Oculus - the most beautiful train station I've ever been in.

This firetruck was used to fire the flames before debris from the falling towers damaged it.

We stopped for a quick lunch at Brookfield Place.

Trenton and Beyond

On the rainy final day of March, we joined the fourth graders for a trip to our state's capitol building and the New Jersey State Museum. Easter brought a celebratory passover seder meal - check it out!

Students sign the book, expressing what they enjoyed about the exhibit.

The girls enjoy the Lego area!

A roller coaster for the ball

The girls check out the dinosaur bone and fossilized poo.

A balloon magically floats on the wall and another sticks to the door during a static electricity experiment.

The plate for our seder meal had each of these items.

We enjoy a pizza party due to 100% participation during Spirit Week, thanks to the PTF!

The students ask for more juice at our Passover meal.

March Beginnings

Here are some pictures to check out what we've been doing at the end of February and beginning of March.

Students created replicas of Solomon's temple.

70+ degrees meant that we did Social Studies outside at the picnic table (and on the swings and the playground).

A windy, chillier day made creating our Hooverville a challenge.

Students get inventive with tying blankets to the trees.

Residents of the Hooverville enjoy their dinner from Miss J's soup kitchen.

Once the house was finally made, students relaxed and read for a few minutes.
